Rustic Luxury in the Northwoods’ Finest Gathering Place
This property was originally developed beginning in 2004 as a private residence owned by Claude Bourguignon. Claude came to the U.S. from Montreal, Canada at the age of 25 and soon co-founded a cheese import/distribution company named ANCO. In the 1970’s he and his business partners purchased a cheddar plant in Merrill, WI where they began to produce an innovative cheese called rondele´®, a French-style spreadable cheese. After years of success, Claude and his partners sold ANCO to Kraft Foods in 1990. Claude developed the property (now known as Rondele Ranch) to celebrate his entrepreneurial spirit and entertain family and friends.
Claude was an avid and passionate golfer, fisherman, and hunter who traveled the world pursuing trophy wild game. He was very successful at these ventures, and many of his incredible mounts can be viewed on the premises.
