About Just Right Cleaning and Construction

Today, Just Right Cleaning and Construction is well known for its prompt, reliable, professional and complete cleaning and restoration services. As the oldest restoration company in Eastern Washington, we've seen our share of disasters. Our team of trained cleaning and restoration professionals work hard every day to rebuild, restore and maintain the dreams of our valued clients.

Like many family-owned businesses, JRCC had a humble start. Founder Blaine Justesen worked as a registered nurse. The long hours and low pay weren't enough to support his growing family, so he looked for other more lucrative options. After trying a number of positions working for others, in 1984 Blaine literally bet the house on starting his own business. Using money he'd saved to build a home, he built a successful carpet cleaning business instead.

Wearing their signature white uniforms, Blaine and his team built a reputation for delivering quality carpet and upholstery cleaning services in and around Moses Lake, WA. Working with contractors in the area, Blaine eventually expanded his business to offer high quality, professional restoration services.

Today, Blanine's son, Ben, along with his family and the entire Just Right Cleaning and Construction team address significant disasters, such as water, fire, smoke, sewage backups and mold growth. Their goal is always to return your property to prime condition and restore your dreams.

Water Damage

Few things can damage a home or commercial space faster and more completely than water. The longer water makes contact with a material, the more damage it delivers. Water can literally dissolve walls, buckle floors and decompose wood. Glues, binders and resins in many building products are water soluble, so underlayment, paint, tiles and fabrics can all be ruined in seconds. Worse, materials that are normally enclosed in walls or under carpets, like insulation and padding, can become saturated. With no way to evaporate the water, the materials will support the explosive growth of biological hazards like mold, mildew and bacteria. Water can also distribute biological contaminants to virtually every corner of your space.

Fire Damage Restoration

The National Fire Prevention Association estimates that US fire departments respond to more than 1,000 residential structure fires each day. Fires start unexpectedly and grow quickly. Most homeowners can't act fast enough to extinguish a fire themselves. A large fire, or one that damages certain areas of a home – like the kitchen – can displace your family for weeks or months. Structural damage can cause parts of a home to collapse. The fire, smoke and water damage can make a home or business seem like a lost cause.

The restoration professionals at Just Right Cleaning and Construction can begin work on your home or business immediately after the fire is out. In the case of a minor fire, often we can restore your home without displacing your family. A fire can distribute smoke odors and soot throughout the house – even in areas that are unaffected by the fire itself.

Wind Damage Restoration

The highest wind speed ever recorded in Washington State is 160 m.p.h. Fortunately, most wind storms aren't that strong, but high winds can cause a lot of damage to buildings. Windows, roofs, chimneys and siding can all take a beating in high winds. Fallen trees can cause structural and foundation damage. Storms that produce high winds often bring a lot of water (or hail) with them.

Because of Washington's proximity to the Pacific Ocean, tropical storms and winter storms always have the potential to do significant damage to homes in this area. Count on the professionals at JRCC to assist with mitigating and repairing storm damage to your home or business.

We can be on-site within hours of your call to assist in securing your home or business, and prevent further to the interior from water or snow. We can also help you plan repairs, or coordinate repair work with your insurance company.

Smoke Damage Restoration

Mold Remediation

Water can do a lot of harm to building interiors and their contents, but drying the affected area doesn't always stop the damage. Lingering moisture forms the ideal environment for mold and mildew growth. Many different molds can be present in a home or business, but a few strains of mold like Stachybotryschartarum and Stachybotryschlorohalonata – black mold – can cause serious, lasting health issues.

When black mold grows, it consumes the organic material it finds. Targets include wood flooring and trim, sub-flooring, studs, joists and rafters. It can also affect plaster, drywall, carpeting, insulation and furniture. As the mold feeds, it releases spores into the air. Airborne spores can lodge in duct work, which distributes the spores around the interior space.

If you have mold growth in your home, please do not attempt to remove it yourself. DIY mold remediation can actually spread black mold spores to other parts of the space. Rather than addressing the problem, this ensures that the mold growth will continue.

JRCC offers comprehensive mold inspection service that can determine whether the mold you see in your space is toxic or benign. Using special equipment, our trained technicians will provide a complete analysis of the mold growth to determine the extent of the damage and the type of remediation that's required.
